As a photography enthusiast, I have used both the Canon Ivy and HP Sprocket portable photo printers. While both of them offer convenient and on-the-go printing options, I personally found the Canon Ivy to be a better choice. Here are a few reasons why:
Firstly, the print quality of the Canon Ivy is noticeably better than that of the HP Sprocket. The colors are more accurate and vibrant, and there is less pixelation or blurriness in the final print. This is because the Canon Ivy uses ZINK (zero ink) technology which produces smudge-proof, water-resistant and tear-resistant prints.
Secondly, the size and design of the Canon Ivy make it more compact and user-friendly compared to the HP Sprocket. The Canon Ivy has a sleek and slim design which makes it easier to carry around in my bag or pocket. It also has a removable paper tray which can hold up to 10 sheets at a time, allowing for continuous printing without having to reload frequently.

Both the Canon Ivy and HP Sprocket are compact and lightweight, making them easy to carry around. However, the Canon Ivy has a sleeker design with a matte finish, while the HP Sprocket has a glossy finish. I personally prefer the look of the Canon Ivy as it gives a more high-end feel.
Print Quality
When it comes to print quality, both these printers use ZINK (zero ink) technology which produces smudge-proof and water-resistant prints. However, I noticed that prints from the Canon Ivy had better color accuracy and sharpness compared to those from HP Sprocket. The Canon Ivy offers Bluetooth connectivity while the HP Sprocket offers both Bluetooth and Wi-Fi connectivity. Battery Life
Both these printers have built-in rechargeable batteries that last for around 25-30 prints per charge. However, in my usage, I found that the battery of the HP Sprocket drained faster compared to that of the Canon Ivy. If you plan on using your printer for long periods without access to charging points, then the longer battery life of the Canon Ivy might be more suitable for you.
Cost of Consumables
One thing to consider before buying a portable photo printer is the cost of consumables such as paper and ink cartridges. The HP Sprocket uses smaller paper sheets (2×3 inches) compared to those used by Canon Ivy (2.1x 3.4 inches), making it slightly cheaper per print.
